General Rules for the N-600

If you are a citizen parent, you may apply for the certifícate of citizenship for your minor child if you meet the following requirements:

Your child has not yet reached 18 years of age.
Your child has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence.
Your child resides in the United States in your legal and physical custody.

List of Documents that must be submitted:

Copy of the child’s certified birth certificate.
Copy of the child’s resident card.
Copy of the US citizen parent’s certificate of naturalization.
Marriage certificate of the applying parent.
Proof of legal custody for divorced U.S citizen parent(s)
